The inspiration behind our award-winning sauces! Shai qualified as an optometrist and practiced in London. He soon smelt the success of Baked Bird and decided to join Vimal in the crusade to serve the best-baked chicken!

Has a background in corporate banking IT services having worked in the City and internationally for many years, traded his career for the love and devotion in the creation of Baked Bird… the rest they say, is history!

(Vimal’s partner) led finance teams in major blue chip companies, working for a property developer for 10 years and now a FTSE 100 retailer. She has been instrumental in helping Baked Bird deliver on costs, turnover and EBITDA.

Our Chicken

As the pioneers of Baked Chicken, we’re committed to making healthy versions of unhealthy food. That’s why we’ve packed the full flavour of your favourite chicken wings into our healthier, baked product. With 13 herbs & spices, and sauced in our home-made flavours, our wings have half the calories of fried wings, and half the amount of fat and sodium as well, making every meal the perfect choice for the health conscious. This is no-cheating, guilt-free eating!

Our Story

The love for wings runs deep in our family. What started as a cheeky obsession with chicken wings quickly turned into an adventure across East Asia, where we discovered new cooking methods and flavours that would change everything. Returning home, we couldn’t wait to start experimenting with Asian-inspired dishes, and that's when our infamous BAKED-NOT-FRIED wings were born. As we cooked for friends and family, the idea started to take shape: why should anyone settle for fried when you can have wings that are just as delicious and baked? And so, BAKED BIRD®, which began as a simple weekend hobby, quickly grew into something bigger.

In November 2019, we took the leap and bought a converted horsebox trailer, and starting with DIY kits and bottled sauces, delivered to local customers. Fast forward to 2021, and BAKED BIRD® was off and running. From our first market in Shoreditch, we’ve sold over 50 tonnes of chicken and served at more than 100 events, from music festivals to weddings and corporate gigs. Now, with three food trucks in less than two years, and a residency in Boxhall City, we’re cooking up a storm and spreading the love for oven-baked wings nationwide.
